A detached farm cottage located on a 300-acre mixed working farm - part of which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Close to the owner’s home, refurbished to a very good standard. Set in an attractive rural hamlet. Wembury Bay is a marine conservation area. A 10 minute walk over farmland leads to rock pools, sandy coves and South Devon Coastal Path. Plymouth 7 miles, is now being recognised as a prime centre for offshore diving with the scuttled HMS Sylla at Whitsand Bay and the Edistone Reef. Facilities at Langdon Barton include boat parking and a secure store for dive equipment. Mount Batton for water sports including yachting. A water taxi to the Barbican and National Marine Aquarium is only a 5 minute drive. Langdon Court brasserie is only 500 yards. Ideal spot for bird watching with cirl bunting territories close by. Saltram House NT, 5 miles. Dartmoor National park, 15 miles. Eden Project 1¼ hours drive. Golf, 4 miles. Shop/PO and pub 2 miles.

We had a brilliant time at Langdon Barton Cottage. It was both cosy and quirky, and the large open fire was great. We instantly felt at home there and will look to try to go on holiday there again. The walk over the farmer's fields from the cottage to Wembury beach was breath taking for its views.

Great cottage, large, spacious, lots of equipment. Warm and peaceful. Beach is 5 minutes drive.

This is a lovely large cottage, with plenty of space and headroom and both the kitchen and lounge are nice and spacious as is the room behind the kitchen. The very nice owner could not be friendly and or more welcoming, and he provided us with a lovely Xmas tree and a box of decorations. The fire was great fun to set up with the logs provided. It was lovely to see the horses being led to the field every morning and back every evening. The location is great for the coastal path and nearby beach and the moors of Dartmoor are within a half-hour. The wi-fi was of goodish quality but football games were a bit pixelated and I did not try a Zoom call. The bed mattresses could do with replacing as they are very soft. . The cottage is not white anymore which was a little confusing ! Its also worth mentioning that the post code covers a wide area and took us to the wrong cottage on the opposite side of the road but this was soon sorted. We would definitely go again.
