Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including gifts, and the helpfulness of the owner. While mostly comfortable, some guests note the beds could be improved. The location is ideal for exploring Somerset and enjoying nearby attractions.

The lodge receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting its spotless condition. One mention of dirty dishes slightly impacts the score.

The location is described as peaceful and good for accessing local attractions and amenities. The proximity to Animal Farm Park is a highlight.

Comfort receives a good score overall, with the lodge being described as warm and comfortable. However, some guests mention uncomfortable beds and a cramped twin room, which affects the score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the lodge being well-equipped. Points are deducted for the lack of a hair dryer, the need for a grab handle in the shower, and a mention of worn-out mattresses.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful touches, such as welcome gifts, which contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Everything we needed was there. Have suggested to the owner that a grab handle would be very useful in the shower. Very warm and clean. Easy to get to places from the lodge. All equipment in kitchen as needed, very good. Have stayed there before and would stay again.

Spotlessly clean and everything you could want, it was a home from home. In a great location and a perfect base to get out and about. Right next door to Animal Farm Park you could even see the alpaca and wallabies from the back door if you timed it right! Highly recommend staying here, it’s 5 stars from us!
