Guests say

Melita is a well-equipped, spacious bungalow in Somerset, appreciated for its homely feel, secure garden, and thoughtful touches for both human and canine guests. While some guests noted traffic noise and dated decor, the property's comfort, generous welcome packs, and ideal location for exploring the area were highly praised.

Most guests found Melita clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments about dust and cleanliness issues. The overall impression is of a tidy and cared-for property.

The location is generally seen as good for exploring Somerset, with convenient amenities and dog walking areas. However, some guests mentioned traffic noise due to proximity to a main road, which affected the score.

Guests praised the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere, especially during poor weather. Some found the seating and bed headboards less comfortable, but overall, the bungalow provided a comfortable stay.

There is insufficient information to score facilities and maintenance accurately. While guests mentioned well-equipped kitchens and thoughtful provisions for dogs, specific references to maintenance issues or the state of facilities are limited.

The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently commended, with mentions of welcome packs, dog amenities, and Christmas decorations. It's noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Property much larger than expected. Plenty of room for family and pets. Large garden with lots of places to sit and enjoy the sun or night skies. Perfect for stargazing. The welcome pack was generous and included gorgeous pastries and doggy treats. Be sure to read the information in the welcome folder as it contains details about the local area and log-in details for major entertainment apps on the tv. We hope to stay again. Thank you!

Although close to a main road you could hear the traffic but wasn't bothered by it. Very comfortable and clean. We highly recommend Malita and will be returning.

As the photos show, it is a little dated. We were surprised to find there was no streaming / smart TV available. We tried to communicate with Sykes prior to arrival and no luck. We did then call the local number listed and got a response. Also did not need to book a whole week, but a week was considerably cheaper than booking 5 nights.
