About this property

This beautiful holiday home offers a wonderful retreat near Queen Camel, in the stunning country of Somerset. Three comfy bedrooms allow an excellent night’s sleep and there is a family bathroom where you can enjoy a soak in the tub after a long walk, to help ease those aching muscles. In the open plan living area, The Lodge has bright, modern yet comfortable accommodation with bi-fold doors that let you welcome the fresh country air indoors during the summer. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing tasty meals, and you can easily plan the day’s adventures over breakfast at the large dining table. At the end of the day, relax on the sofas with a glass of wine before bed. An excellent choice for friends and families exploring Somerset. Note: This property is attached to Ref. 957130, together they sleep 12.

Named after the nearby River Cam and Queen Margaret of France, the pretty village of Queen Camel is well served by local shops and pubs. It is just six miles from the market town of Yeovil and the historic town of Sherborne, home to the castle built by Sir Walter Raleigh. The surrounding area abounds in historical interest and is probably most well known for nearby Cadbury Castle, an ancient hill fort thought to be the site of King Arthur's Camelot! A great place to relax and explore.

Everything we needed was catered for and we were made to feel at home. Exactly the right amount of interaction with the owner who was lovely and very helpful and only a phone call away if needed. Would definitely return and totally recommend.

A few niggles could be remedied if the owners spent a night or two in there - blunt kitchen knives for e.g. A little attention to detail could turn a four star rating into five!

Lots of room and very comfortable with beautiful views. The owners are lovely and in the area if needed. We stayed for around a month with family members joining us as available, couldn’t have been happier and will definitely return in the future.
