Guests say

Barleside is a well-maintained cottage in Dulverton, Somerset, praised for its cleanliness, spacious upstairs, and lovely outdoor seating area. Guests enjoy the proximity to local shops, eateries, and scenic walks, though some mention the living room seating is limited and suggest additional comfort improvements. Parking can be challenging, but the location and river views largely compensate for this minor inconvenience.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean and well maintained, with several reviews specifically noting its cleanliness upon arrival.

The location is highly regarded for its convenience to the village, pubs, and eateries, as well as its proximity to local attractions and scenic walks. However, some guests mention parking difficulties.

The comfort of the cottage receives positive remarks, especially the spacious upstairs bedroom and comfortable beds. However, multiple reviews suggest that the living room seating is inadequate for the number of guests the property can accommodate.

The property is well-equipped and guests appreciate the outdoor space and river views. Some guests mention minor issues such as blunt kitchen knives and the absence of a hoover, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While guests appreciate the attention to detail and the provision of linens and luxury toiletries, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

Clean, tidy and everything you need for weeks holiday. Some observations: The cookery knives in the kitchen drawer were as blunt as a butter knife. A sharpen would not go amiss. Not having on-site parking was a little inconvenient but saying that, most evenings we managed to find somewhere a short walk away. We could not find a hoover to give the floors a once over. The bath towels were a little small for those of us above average size. Otherwise a lovely place to base ourselves for the week.
