Luccombe Cottage receives high praise for its immaculate cleanliness, tranquil and picturesque setting, and comfortable, well-appointed accommodation. Guests appreciate the peaceful environment, proximity to Exmoor and coastal areas, and the well-maintained gardens, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and exploration.
Reviewers unanimously commend the cottage for its exceptional cleanliness, describing it as 'immaculately clean' and 'spotlessly clean' throughout.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and easy access to Exmoor, Porlock, and surrounding hills, though no specific mention of proximity to amenities or public transport might slightly limit the score.
Guests find the cottage very comfortable, highlighting the 'comfy bed', 'light and airy' rooms, and the effective heating system for cooler evenings.
Facilities are described as well-appointed and maintained to a high standard, with everything needed for an enjoyable holiday, including a well-equipped kitchen and spacious accommodation.
The mention of a welcome card suggests a degree of thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently referenced, it is politely noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
Luccombe Cottage is a self-contained two bedroom holiday cottage nestled at the foot of Dunkery, in the rural National Trust village of Luccombe. Just 2 miles from the sea, Luccombe Cottage is well suited to couples looking for a peaceful getaway
The kitchen is very well-equipped and includes a wide range of cooking utensils, pots and pans as well as crockery/cutlery/glassware.
Bed linen and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take them on day trips.
Heating and electricity is included. The cottage benefits from central heating throughout plus a 'electric wood-burner' in the sitting room.
Wifi is available at no extra cost.
Please note, the water supply comes from a local natural spring.
As with much of Exmoor, mobile phone reception in the cottage is very poor. However, if you turn ‘WiFi Calling’ on on your mobile you will be able to make/receive calls/texts over the cottage WiFi - you can often find this tab under Settings and then Phone, or alternatively contact your service provider and ask them to activate it.

The cottage is beautifully presented, and immaculately clean. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and well kept, so the whole experience was wonderful and a great place to relax after long walks around the surrounding hills, moor and valleys.

Yes...I thought the whole area of Exmoor and the timbered valleys absolutely beautiful . Traffic wise ,incredibly quiet ...even the main through road from Williton westward . Cleanliness throughout the county was incomparable .
