Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the cottage's charm, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. The location is praised for its proximity to local attractions and the welcome pack is a delightful touch. Some guests mention minor maintenance issues and suggest updates to local information, but overall experiences are positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests found the cottage clean, with specific praise for its presentation upon arrival. However, a few guests noted areas that required additional cleaning, such as dust and a dirty high chair, slightly affecting the overall impression.

The cottage's location is highly regarded, with guests enjoying the quiet village setting close to Minehead, regular bus services, and attractions like Dunster Castle. The convenience of local amenities and the ease of exploring the Somerset coast are frequently mentioned.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, particularly highlighting the woodburner. However, some guests mention that the beds were too hard or the duvets too small, and the seating in the living area was not as comfortable for everyone.

The well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of streaming services are appreciated, but guests have reported issues such as central heating problems and difficulties with doors. Maintenance concerns and the need for updates in local information and facilities have been noted.

The welcome pack with wine and jam is a charming gesture that guests enjoyed, although it should be noted that such gifts are subject to change and may not always be provided. Some guests felt that small details could be improved to enhance the overall experience.

There is no longer a pub and shop nearby, both have now shut. Also the WiFi password in the cottage booklet needs updating. The front bedroom tv needs to be addressed, not working properly. On the whole we had a lovely holiday.

The cottage was lovely and suited us well. However the settees were quite uncomfortably. It would be great if they could be changed. Still, saying that, we would stay there again.

The mixture of upcycled, new and original features makes a beautiful place to stay .
