Wey House is warm and comfortable and incredibly peaceful, despite being so close to the village center. We really noticed how quiet it was and also - being part of a dark skies area - the amazing night sky. Being so close to the shop was a real and unexpected bonus - perfect to walk down the drive and pick up essentials as well as local treats! Oh and the pub is within easy walking distance too. The beds are really comfortable, there was loads of piping hot water, and plenty of room to spread out. Wey House is a relaxed and informal house set in lovely gardens and backed by well fenced paddocks that were ideal for our dogs . We also made great use of the barbecue. The house is inviting with lots of character and great views, and perfectly placed to tour Exmoor and the surrounding areas. There are also some good walks around the village too. We had a great time and are hoping to go back! Tony and Anita, the owners, who also run the village shop and tearooms, live in the village and were really welcoming, as well as quick to help and answer any questions . Altogether it was a thoroughly enjoyable and very welcome holiday.
