Wake up to the sound of crashing waves, head to the raised balcony with your morning coffee and watch the morning unfold.

Whether you’re off down the coast path that runs directly past the resort up to Berry Head National Nature Reserve (1 mile) or you’re sunbathing on the loungers on the balcony, you’ll find your own way to relax here. The interiors embrace the sandy tones and blues of the coast and there are lots of little nautical features dotted throughout. The open-plan living area is bright and airy during the day with wonderful sea views, but draw the curtains in the evening and snuggle up in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire for a cosy end to the day. You could even wrap up warm and head out to the balcony to star gaze with an al fresco drink.

Children will love the Golden Hind Museum Ship and the Brixham Heritage Museum (both approx. 1 mile) where there are lots of hands-on exhibitions to get stuck into. Breakwater Beach (1.5 miles) is popular with scuba divers, so give it a try with one of the diving schools in the area. Paignton (6 miles) is a wonderful seaside town with a fantastic zoo; you can also take a steam train ride with the Dartmouth Steam Rail and River Boat Company through picturesque English Riviera scenery to Kingswear.
