Paignton 1.9 miles. Ocean Retreat, a delightful, three-storey house is situated in Goodrington, near to Goodrington Sands, on the outskirts of Paignton, a popular seaside resort in Devon. Set over three floors, this charming abode offers off-road parking for one car, an enclosed lawned garden, a collection of well-presented, contemporary interiors, and a superb location just a short stroll from the nearest shop, pub, and beaches, making it a perfect base for a family or group of four friends seeking a refreshing getaway just east of the brilliant Dartmoor National Park. Park up, unpack, and make yourself comfortable in your lovely new lodgings. Step through the front door and be immediately greeted by a ground-floor utility housing a washing machine and toilet before you head up the carpeted stairs into the open-plan living space. Here, acquaint yourself with the fully-equipped kitchen, whipping up a delicious, home-cooked feast to savour upon the elegant breakfast bar. The views were stunning. Excellent bus service. The only slight downside for us was the very steep hills. We struggled a bit at times but managed. Didnât spoil our overall enjoyment of the house and the areas we visited.

The place was clean,tidy, and comfortable. We had a lovely week in Ocean Retreat, the only disappointment of our holiday was the weather !!!

The only drawback was the location-it wasnât easy to find and there was nowhere within easy walking distance. It served our needs very well as it was a good central area to visit many locations by driving from Salcome to Sidmouth and even RHS Rosemoor. Overall we really enjoyed our stay -just wish the weather had been better.
