Unfortunately there were several issues with it which were so disappointing. On arrival we found there was a large number of bothersome flies in all the upstairs rooms, particularly in the window casements. In one bedroom there was a huge number of earwigs. There were also a lot of cobwebs and a musty smell throughout. Overall, the house did not feel clean. The oven was absolutely disgusting. There were masses of different pots and pans but no microwave cooking dishes. The hot tub had been warmed for us which was nice but the area around the hot tub could have been so much more pleasant. Also the hot tub had a leak so we could only use it one day. The conservatory was a big bonus and a pleasant room but unfortunately it leaked. All in all, it seems that this very quirky house has much to offer but definitely requires vast improvement and rigorous cleaning and maintenance.

The biggest issue was the cleanliness. For the price, we expected much better standards in terms of cleanliness and responsiveness. I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made.

I would like to say this was not the case for us. The property was clean and tidy and was very welcoming . The lovely touch of biscuits and bread was very nice. There was everything there that we needed . The beds were so comfortable and plenty of hot water . We loved the hot tub too. The conservatory was great as it had bi folding doors which let the outside in. The only criticism was we had the gardeners Saturday morning early and we were not told they would be there but apart from that everything was good.
