Guests say

Nine Acres Barn in Marlborough is highly praised for its beautiful, peaceful setting and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the generous welcome packs and the property's cleanliness. Its proximity to local attractions and the town centre, along with the attentive but unobtrusive owners, contribute to a delightful stay. The barn offers a cosy and comfortable experience, although some guests noted minor issues with hot water and a soft mattress.

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'beautifully clean', 'immaculately clean', and 'tidy'. This suggests a very high standard of cleanliness maintained by the owners.

The location is frequently described as quiet and peaceful, with easy access to Marlborough and nearby attractions like Avebury and Stonehenge. The rural setting close to walking routes and the town centre is appreciated, indicating a very desirable location.

Guests find the barn comfortable, mentioning a 'toasty warm' environment and a 'cosy' atmosphere. However, there are a couple of mentions of a soft mattress and insufficient hot water for baths, which slightly lowers the comfort score.

The barn is well-equipped according to guests, with a wood burner and a well-furnished kitchen. However, there are some comments about the lack of a full fridge freezer and issues with hot water supply, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

The owners are commended for their thoughtfulness, particularly regarding the welcome packs. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are subject to the owners' discretion and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The owners had thoughtfully supplied eggs, bacon, milk and apples and a plentiful supply of logs for the woodburner - and the lady owner also came to check that every thing was ok. The grey, misty weather meant that we didn't get the full benefit from the countryside views so we will have to return in, hopefully, better weather next year.
