Guests say

The Mews Cottage in Tisbury is a cosy and homely property with a convenient location for exploring Wiltshire and Dorset. It is dog-friendly and has a private parking space. While some guests found the cottage to be comfortable and well-equipped, others noted issues with dampness and maintenance.

Guests have mentioned the property being 'clean and fresh' and 'well equipped', but there were also comments about it feeling 'a bit damp' and having a 'musty' smell upon arrival. Some guests noted peeling paint and dusty areas, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness.

The location is frequently praised for being central, quiet, and convenient, with easy access to local amenities and attractions. The proximity to a pub and a working men's club was noted, with some noise on occasion, but overall the location is seen as a positive aspect.

The comfort of the cottage received mixed reviews. Guests appreciated the cosy atmosphere and the comfortable bed, but some found the sofas and shower to be uncomfortable. The presence of a log burner was a plus for many.

Facilities were generally seen as adequate, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and the bonus of a car park. However, there were several comments about the lack of WiFi, issues with dampness, and the need for maintenance on doors and windows.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

There was nothing wrong with the cottage but not being able to safely let the dog out without having to be fully dressed and put her on a lead to walk her quite a distance before you find any grass was a big no, possibly okay for an elderly dog. We decided to take the financial loss and return home
