Nestling in the grounds of the owners’ home, it lies close to 60 acres of set aside land and Thornham Walks for dog walking, horse riding, easy rambles and watching the local wildlife, whilst the surrounding quiet country lanes offer lovely cycling. Just 3 miles away is the historic little town of Eye, and arts and music venues, a steam museum and plant centre are under 7 miles. The cathedral, castle, museums, theatre, cinema and excellent shopping in medieval Norwich city; Southwold; Walberswick; rspb Minsmere and fish and chips at the beachside cafe by Dunwich Heath (National Trust) are all within an easy drive. Locally brewed cider and chocolates on arrival. Shop and pub serving food 200 yards.

We wanted a quiet, relaxing, spacious, multi dog friendly, safe and warm wintery place to enjoy a few days off and we found a little gem in the country side! We truly enjoyed being there (so much we didn't go out but once!). The large cozy soft bed was comfy, the underfloor heating added a warm feel across the place. Kitchen has all it needs to cook. Bathroom is large (a bath would be ideal) but the water is so soft there is was like a caresse! We fell like we were abroad for a while with the interior deco.We briefly met the owner's and they were welcoming and friendly. We would go back but maybe for a week as it is not a big difference in the price. Truly recommend this Old Cow Shed for a quiet getaway. Why not try it for yourself? :-)
