Guests say

Mariners Cottage in Aldeburgh is a well-furnished and stylish property, praised for its proximity to the shore and suitability as a base for exploring. While it offers a comfortable stay, some guests have noted issues with safety for the elderly and maintenance that could enhance the experience.

The cottage is generally described as clean, with no specific complaints about cleanliness, suggesting a high standard of upkeep.

The location is highly regarded due to its convenience, being only 5 minutes from the shore and ideal for coastal walks and exploring the area.

The property is considered extremely comfortable by some, but concerns about steep staircases and the size of the shower for taller individuals suggest that comfort could be improved for a wider range of guests.

Facilities are generally good, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as the need for tidying, weeding, and addressing potentially unsafe bunk beds. The intermittent television signal also detracts from the overall facilities score.

There is no mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to assess this category.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. The plumber who was called said it was due to the water supply. The bathroom was too small for use. There was never enough hot water. All the cupboards & shelves were full of unnecessary 'stuff'. The pots & utensils were all grubby & needed washing before use. There was no visitors book or water filter as mentioned.
