Guests say

Pebble Beach Cottage in Aldeburgh is praised for its prime location, close to the high street and beach, with a comfortable setting for families. Guests appreciate the clean, well-equipped space and the added touches like wine and chocolate. While some minor maintenance issues and comfort concerns with the living room furniture are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests willing to return.

The cottage is generally found to be clean and tidy, with guests noting its cleanliness upon arrival. However, there are comments about cooking pots and pans not being properly clean, which slightly affects the score.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the town centre, beach, and local walks, making it an ideal spot for visitors. It is considered one of the best aspects of the cottage.

The beds are described as comfortable, and the addition of a second sofa has been well received. However, there are remarks about the living room furniture being uncomfortable and not accommodating all guests, which impacts the comfort score.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a special mention of the kitchen and bathroom facilities. Nonetheless, issues like a non-working kettle, the need for salt in the dishwasher, and challenges with heating upon arrival suggest room for improvement in maintenance.

While some guests miss the thoughtful touches of welcome gifts such as coffee sachets, biscuits, or chocolates, these are not consistently mentioned across the reviews, and it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

This time our stay was blighted by the noisy building site right next door that started work at 8am. This is not a new building site, so it would have been nice if we had been pre warned and even better if we had been given the opportunity switch properties.

    Ideal getaway.

00 to 4.00pm right next to property. This work was not a recent development and had been ongoing for months - we were not informed of this and if we had, we would not have booked this property. Had to keep doors and windows closed due to constant noise of drilling and hammering. Couldn't use the "tranquil" courtyard due to building noise. Curtains and blinds had to be kept closed all for privacy as builders could see in through them. It ruined our much needed break away. We contacted Sykes the day we arrived about the above and they were very quick to start looking into it and also said they were not aware of this problem.
