The raised deck sitting above the lawn (reached by a ramp) is a lovely spot to sit for a meal or with a good book, listening to the abundant birdlife; there is even a bench if you want to sit in the shade. The main feature of the outside space is the incredible outside bath meaning that you have an ideal spot to unwind with a glass of wine, it is covered to enable the use all year round and is totally private. Parking is next to the ramp at the side, giving easy access to unload your belongings.

The beautiful market town of Framlingham is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) and has been known since Anglo Saxon times, when it consisted of several manors which William the Conqueror (1066-1087) presented to Roger Bigod. The town is of particular interest as it has a large castle and mere which was built between 1190 and 1210. The town is surrounded by lovely villages to explore and has two of the oldest working post boxes and one of Britain’s smallest houses, with the footprint measuring 6.1x2.2m! Today, the town offers a number of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and it is also home to Framlingham Summer Arts Festival.

The hosts were very accommodating by the little extra touches such as a happy birthday banner on entrance of the property. Its was beautiful in every way. Thank you for having us and we certainly will be back. We have found our place to get away from life constrains. Thank you again

We love the updates that David and Kate have recently made, especially the bathtub under the canopy of twinkling lights. As well as visiting our usual haunts, Aldeburgh, Southwold and Snape Maltings, we had an amazing lunch at the ‘Be Well Barn’ which is a ten minute car ride away. We were informed that you can hire a spa pod for an hour to enjoy a sauna and jacuzzi. We will definitely do that next time.

Great location - enabled us to visit all the sites we we wanted without too much travelling. Some very good pubs/eateries in the area.
