Guests say

Pike Cottage is praised for its beautiful location, cosy atmosphere, and quality furnishings. Guests enjoy the idyllic garden with a river, comfortable beds, and proximity to local attractions. Some noted minor issues with appliance instructions and access to the second bedroom.

The cottage is described as clean, which suggests high standards of cleanliness maintained throughout the property.

The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity and picturesque setting near the river Deben, with convenient access to local towns and the seaside, although some guests missed having a pub within walking distance.

The cottage is consistently referred to as cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed mentioned. However, the access issue to the second bedroom through the first may affect comfort for some guests.

While the property is well-equipped with quality appliances and furniture, there were some concerns about the lack of instructions for the cooker and oven, and issues with the washing machine, which affects the maintenance score.

There are no mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Pike Cottage is a lovely and well appointed cosy cottage with a river at the bottom of the garden! We had great weather and a lovely stay with some great local pubs nearby!

Pike Cottage is beautifully located in the quiet village of Letheringham, with the river Deben flowing past at the bottom of the garden and mature trees completing the idyllic setting. The cottage is clean and cosy, and well equipped with everything you need to make your holiday enjoyable. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is great. The surrounding area is lovely, with the picturesque town of Framlingham a few miles away, and the even nearer Wickham Market has a good supermarket. Further afield, Bury St Edmunds is just under an hour away and well worth a visit, as are the historic towns of Lavenham and Long Melford about an hour away. The coast is less than an hour away, with Dulwich, Bawdsey and the Shotley peninsula close by and interesting. I would highly recommend Pike Cottage for a break in Suffolk.
