Station Cottage is a much-loved, tastefully decorated and comfortable second home – a fabulous place to stay. Built in 1875 as two cottages but always used as one house, Station Cottage is a wonderful, cosy property with two of everything: two front doors, two back doors, two staircases, two sitting rooms (one with open fire-place and one with piano) and not forgetting two gardens. A large accommodating kitchen leads straight into the secluded back garden (with sandpit, table tennis, chairs and tables) and overlooks the front garden, lawn and climbing frame.

This is a peaceful and safe haven for families with small children or a refuge for adults to escape to, located on the outskirts of Saxmundham, one of Suffolk’s more charming market towns. Overlooking the railway line, children love this property for the excitement of train spotting, with the bonus that this is rural Suffolk, in reality the trains are few and far between!

Both Waitrose & Tesco are a five-minute walk away in the town which also has fun shops and cafes to explore. For older children there is a huge, grassy Memorial ground on the other side of the road as well as a wonderful playground in the nearby campsite. Suffolk’s sunshine coast is closest at Aldeburgh, seven miles away, and Southwold with its sandy beach, world famous pier and beach huts is only 25 minutes away by car.
