Guests say

Japonica Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and secure garden, making it ideal for guests with dogs. The property is well-equipped and boasts a convenient location for exploring Suffolk's attractions. The local pub adds to the village's charm, and the welcome pack is a delightful touch, though its provision is not guaranteed.

Guests consistently commend the cottage for its cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean' and 'the cleanest dog-friendly cottage' they've stayed in, indicating a high standard of hygiene.

The location is appreciated for its quiet village setting with easy access to local attractions and the coast. The presence of a friendly local pub and nearby walks contribute to its high rating.

The cottage is repeatedly noted for its comfort, including a comfortable bed and furnishings. The garden is also highlighted as perfect for dogs, adding to the overall comfort of the stay.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and a good power shower. However, a reported leak and a comment about the bathroom sink suggest some room for improvement in maintenance.

The welcome pack is frequently mentioned as a thoughtful gesture, enhancing guests' experience. While this suggests a high level of thoughtfulness, it is politely noted that such amenities are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

The cottage is finished to a very high standard and has everything you need. The garden was perfect for our dog and a nice patio to sit on. This is our second visit.

A fabulously clean, comfortable and well appointed cottage. The bed is extremely comfortable and a good power shower. All the sheets, towels and soaps are excellent quality. Definitely the cleanest dog friendly cottage we’ve stayed in. The large garden is extremely secure with discreet wire fencing surrounding the whole of it. A great base for exploring the Suffolk coast. There is also a pub at each end of the road, easily walkable, but will need a torch at night. We favoured The Queens Head, Blyford 0.7 miles. Great food and fantastic staff. The Star Inn didn’t have a chef when we went, so no food. Parking is the only issue here. There is space for one car outside, but you will need to tuck it tight against the wall. However, there is a parking bay 25 meters further down the road. If you get a chance go to the Queen’s Head Inn at Bramfield. A 2.5 mile drive, but amazing. We will definitely book here again. Thankyou.
