Venture a little further to the nearby village of Martlesham and you will be able to stock up on essentials, or for a visit to the seaside head over to Felixstowe or Shingle Street, where you can enjoy a stroll along the coastline. Woodbridge is a historic riverside market town boasting an outstanding selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The town has been famous for boatbuilding, rope and sail making since the Middle Ages. The working tide mill is a major attraction and a must visit for anyone staying in the area. The River Deben runs alongside the town and is popular for boating, walking and wildlife with wonderful views over to the National Trust site of Sutton Hoo. The town hosts a number of events throughout the year and is a wonderful place to visit.

The location is perfect, opposite the Fox Inn which served excellent food. Not far from Woodbridge, great town with lots to offer. Our dogs enjoyed walking in the woods. Thankyou Lesley and Alan Yates and dogs Mabel and Henry

We enjoyed the local walks and having a warm and welcoming dog friendly pub across the road was a bonus. We would definitely return.
