Guests say

Guests consistently praise Halcyon Barn for its comfort, high-quality furnishings, and excellent facilities, including a games room and hot tub. The property's peaceful location and beautiful surroundings are frequently mentioned, along with its suitability for family gatherings and special occasions. The attention to detail and standard of decor have left many visitors eager to return.

The barn generally receives high marks for cleanliness, though there is a minor mention of dust and cobwebs, and an instance of old biscuits found in a jar. These seem to be exceptions in an otherwise well-maintained property.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness and proximity to local attractions, with guests appreciating the short drives to nearby towns and the convenience of a local pub. The serene setting contributes positively to the overall experience.

Comfort is a standout feature, with numerous reviews highlighting the cosy yet spacious environment, comfortable beds, and high-quality bed linen. The property caters well to different age groups and provides a relaxing atmosphere.

Facilities are well-regarded, with special mentions of the games room, hot tub, and well-equipped kitchen. However, there are suggestions for a kitchen reorganisation and a comment about the hot tub temperature dropping, indicating slight room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a high level of satisfaction with the property's offerings and attention to detail, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

So much space for everyone. Beds were so comfortable, quilts and pillows were brilliant. Showers were excellent. Games were loved by everyone. Being able to do the washing meant we didn't have to pack loads and loads of clothes which was a bonus! Outdoor space was fabulous and it was just so peaceful being able to sit outside with a cuppa and listen to the birds. Everyone that stays here is going to love it

We will definitely recommend to others and hope to return again. Suffolk was such a surprise to us- we’d never been before and there is so much more to explore. Wishing you well for the rest of the summer and thank you once again. Alison and Kevin
