About this property

Clean and contemporary, Fisherman's Cottage is an ideal holiday home for exploring the Suffolk coast in Southwold. With modern appliances paired with cottage details, you and yours (plus your 4 legged friend) can look forward to making happy memories together.

Where better place to stay in Southwold than in a Fisherman’s Cottage. This delightful property has been beautifully renovated to offer stylish coastal accommodation for up to 8 guests. It’s all in the detail and the owners of Fisherman’s Cottage have put a great deal of thought into that. The result - shuttered windows, elegant grey sofas with gold cushions, open fireplaces with wood burning stoves (three in total) and a fabulous range cooker to make your holiday catering a little less onerous. Bedrooms are beautifully decorated in blue and white with pretty bedding and adding to the coastal charm. Outside the pretty courtyard garden is delightful, furnished with blue painted table and chairs…  perfect for alfresco dining and sipping cocktails as the sun sets. What more could you ask for?

Southwold has some great shops, cafes, delis, pubs and restaurants so you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. Alternatively visit one of the independent grocers, bakers and butchers and cook up a treat. A visit to Southwold wouldn’t be complete without heading off to the pier, dating back to the 1900’s, it was originally built as a landing point for the steamships which use to stop off at the town. Don’t forget to visit the lighthouse - this distinctive landmark at the centre of the town has been guiding vessels into the historical harbour since the late 1800’s.

The property is the perfect bolthole, between the High Street and the beach, opposite one of the best ice-cream parlours.. A favourite stop off point for the children (and adults) on the way back from the beach.

We had a wonderful stay for our Mum's 80th Birthday celebrations. This property couldn't be better situated for anyone with limited mobility, close to the shops and the beach. Very well equipped with comfy beds and sofas. We would certainly return.
