About this property

With Southwold’s iconic lighthouse is right on the doorstep, the beach just a stone's throw away and ample shops, pubs and restaurants just a short stroll, The Ned Southwold will be the perfect place to enjoy your break by the Suffolk coast

Sea views, bay windows and splendid contemporary decor are just some of the features set to delight in this newly renovated property. The mid-terrace holiday home is in the vibrant seaside holiday destination of Southwold, mere metres from the lovely beach and lively pier. Perfect for families or groups friends with the dog in tow, enjoy gentle strolls into the town’s centre, or further afield along the dramatic coastal path, before returning for a relaxing evening curled up in front of the lounge’s wood burner.

This character cottage offers a wonderful blend of modern decor and inviting comfort, ideal for resting and recharging in an aesthetically pleasing setting. The lounge/diner is the ultimate shared space to relax in, complete with a snug lounge area, soft seating, and a crackling wood burner. Next door, the kitchen is well equipped with all you need to feed the group, who can gather at the dining table to reflect on the day’s adventure over dinner. When day turns to night, walk past the handy ground floor WC and head upstairs where three sumptuous bedrooms await, all served by the well-appointed family bathroom. These rooms include a king-size room, an inviting double, and a flexible king-size room that can be converted to twins if needed. Outside, a tranquil, enclosed patio awaits, the perfect spot for a morning cuppa or al fresco evening meal.

Many of Southwold’s attractions are within just half a mile of the house, so make sure to find time for a tour of the town’s historic lighthouse, and a visit to Adnams Brewery, not forgetting to stop on the promenade for some classic fish and chips. On the outskirts of town, the Southwold Maize Maze (2 miles) is a popular attraction and a great starting point for walking routes that circle around and link up with the River Blythe.

The Ned is a beautifully decorated and comfortable property conveniently situated for the town and beach. Unfortunately our stay was affected by building work in the next door property. Also needs a dishwasher.
