Our perfect honeymoon cottage - comfortable, cosy, spotlessly clean throughout and with a view which is even more stunning than the pictures on the website promised. Brixham is a wonderful base for a holiday - friendly people and everything you could need close at hand. But a key part of its charm lies in its status as a working fishing port - this is no artificial picture postcard creation, this is the real thing. The town has many small independent shops and businesses, making a refreshing change from the identikit high streets so prevalent nowadays. We traveled without a car (by train to Paignton then local bus) and made good use of the frequent local buses to visit several places across the bay. Our favorite was Dartmouth - a lovely town with superb views across the Dart to Kingswear and lots of small shops and cafes to enjoy. Totnes and Babbacombe were also both well worth visiting. So many wonderful memories shared in a beautiful place.

We could not fault the cottage or location (5 star). Overall we would have no hesitation to recommend blue chip and the cottages they provide as a facilitator and we will be rebooking with blue chip in 2016.

This cottage has brilliant views from kitchen/diner, lounge and both bedrooms. It has been modernised to a very high standard and has everything you could need. Each room is spacious and very comfortable. As it is on four levels there are a lot of stairs and this could prove a problem to the elderly or unfit! Small children would also need to be watched carefully. I have stayed at several cottages in Brixham which have all been good but this one has to be the best. Highly recommended.
