For example, no welcome booklet with relevant information in (eg wifi password etc). Also we were told the hot tub would work instantly and in fact it was at 15degrees Celsius and took over 12 hours to heat up so we only used it on the morning of check out - the hot tub was the main reason we chose this property over others. If there had been info in a welcome booklet we might have checked things out earlier and put it on the day we arrived. We had some very disappointed children on Sunday. Also there was a lot of glass in the grass which is just unacceptable when youâre renting to a group with children. There were no high chairs - so again, if youâre not aiming it at families thatâs fine but otherwise these are basics. Similarly, no tin foil/cling film, kitchen paper, dishwasher tablets. The dustpan and brush was very cheap and you couldnât pick things up with it. The mattresses were uncomfortable and all of the headboards banged very loudly against the wall everytime you moved. Towels were missing from one of the rooms so we had to keep contacting the property manager - the spares were under a bed straight on the carpet and there were spiders so we ended up having to wash the towels to use them. Some of the towels were stained. Itâs such a nice property but feels like all the furnishings and bits and pieces have been done cheaply. If someone is paying nearly such a substantial amount for 2 nights, there is an expectation that things will be âqualityâ. We also found it hard to cook with the small pans - the property has 4 double bedrooms so with 8 people, that should be considered. Finally there was a very unpleasant sewage-like smell in the property - attempts had been made to cover it up with air fresheners (which we were grateful for) but it was quite strong at times. The place has a lot of potential - it just needs some minor improvements to make it comfortable.
