The surrounding countryside is gorgeous with plenty of places to explore. The local pub, the Stockton Cross was very welcoming with some good banter with the locals and staff. The Sunday dinner was a particular highlight. The welcome pack was excellent and very welcome indeed.

Easy to find and accessible to lots of nearby places. Trudie greeted us when we arrived and explained about different things. After that we knew if we needed anything where to go but were left to enjoy our holiday which was just great. Having two en-suite bathrooms made life very easy. Yes the second bedroom sink isn’t huge but it all worked for us. Plenty of storage space too. The kitchen was well equipped and the cooker worked well. It was also lovely and warm. The only thing we felt was the beds were very hard for us both. I know it’s so difficult to please everyone but I found sleeping quite difficult I think because I am used to the more modern mattress that seemed to suit most people not the sprung sort. That was the only thing I would change. Maybe it’s something to consider even if only one bedroom could be changed. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday. We hope to return again soon.
