Woodlands Cottage in Herefordshire offers a tranquil countryside experience with stunning views and a secure garden. Guests appreciate the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, the comfortable furnishings, and the property's charm. While some guests mention the need for maintenance and a more thorough clean, the majority report a welcoming stay with thoughtful touches like a welcome package and the option of home-cooked meals.
Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the cottage to be of a high clean standard, while others noted issues such as unclean kitchen appliances and the presence of dog mess in the garden. The property appears to have had a recent change in cleaning services, which may account for the inconsistencies.
The location is highly praised for its stunning countryside views, proximity to local attractions, and the nearby Kings Head Pub. It serves as a great base for exploring surrounding towns and offers a sense of seclusion while still being within easy reach of amenities.
Comfort receives positive remarks overall, with guests enjoying the cosy atmosphere and comfortable furnishings. However, some guests found the beds and sofa uncomfortable, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
Facilities like the kitchen and garden are well-received, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as the need for redecoration and minor repairs. The property's facilities are generally appreciated, but the feedback indicates a need for attention to certain details.
Many guests mention thoughtful gestures such as a welcome package and the option for home-cooked meals, which contribute positively to their experience. However, it should be noted that such offerings may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Everything we needed was provided - loved the large fluffy towels - and the owner was at hand if needed, but never intrusive. Hazel

Lovely garden / surroundings and so peaceful. Very much enjoyed optional meals from the owners at an additional cost on our final evening. Thank you for a lovely stay.
