Bearwood Cottage receives high praise for its charm, peaceful countryside setting, and thoughtful touches like a well-stocked welcome hamper. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, cosy fire, and comfortable furnishings. While most experiences are positive, a few guests mention noise from a nearby games room and concerns about dog safety due to unfenced areas.

Reviews consistently mention the cottage being spotless and well-maintained, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that guests are very satisfied with.

The cottage's location is frequently described as beautiful and peaceful, with easy access to local attractions and countryside. However, a few guests noted noise from a nearby games room, slightly impacting the tranquility.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, mentioning cosy fires, a big bed like a 'soft and fluffy cloud', and a homely atmosphere. The comfort of the cottage contributes significantly to the positive experiences of the guests.

The facilities are generally praised, including the provision of bikes and a well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests experienced issues with noise from the games room and patchy WiFi, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While guests are delighted with the welcome hamper and extra touches, there are not enough reviews explicitly mentioning gifts to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.

The cottage was beautiful and clean. Very grateful for the wonderful welcome hamper, well stocked including home made treats. The children loved the swing and the surrounding land was just lovely. However, in our opinion the grounds were not dog friendly. Only 5 minutes after arriving our dog ran into the cattle grid at the end of the driveway which was not gated. She was badly injured and obviously this spoilt the holiday. There were sheep right next to the property and gaps under the fencing. Please be aware you may need to consider keeping your dog on a lead the whole time.
