Guests say

Guests consistently praise the lodge for its immaculate condition, tranquil lakeside setting, and the abundance of wildlife. The hot tub is a highlight, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. The property is well-equipped, though some minor suggestions for additional amenities were made. The location offers a secluded feel yet remains convenient for local attractions and amenities in Ross-on-Wye.

Reviewers frequently mention the lodge's immaculate condition and pleasant smell upon arrival, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

The lodge's secluded and quiet lakeside setting is highly appreciated, offering a peaceful retreat with beautiful views. However, some guests noted road noise and difficulty finding the property, slightly detracting from the perfect score.

The lodge is described as comfortable and cosy, with spacious rooms and ensuite bathrooms. Guests felt very comfortable and slept well, although a few mentioned being cold at times and suggested more throws or an actual fire for warmth.

The lodge is well-fitted with modern conveniences and ample space. Guests enjoyed the hot tub and fishing opportunities. Criticisms include the lack of certain kitchen items, outside lighting, and limited TV channels, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Many guests were touched by thoughtful gestures such as a Christmas tree and welcome treats, though it's politely noted that such gifts are lovely surprises and not guaranteed. The provision of towels for the hot tub and other considerate inclusions also reflect the owners' attention to guest comfort.

The lodge is well-equipped as well as being handily located for the Forest of Dean. The views of the lake from the lodge are excellent - not overlooked at all. The hot tub is a delight.
