About this property

Evenwood Granary is one of three Grade II listed barns conversions on a fabulous private farm development with panoramic views across the Shropshire Hills. This stunning two-storey dwelling, originally a working granary, has been painstakingly and sympathetically restored to provide a fabulous retreat in peaceful countryside, but within striking distance of historic and vibrant Shrewsbury.

Retaining many of the original features including troughs and stalls, the character of Evenwood Granary seamlessly blends with the modern touches and tasteful furnishings. Natural light floods each room and the far reaching rural views from all windows are simply stunning.

Set over two floors, enter into a spacious tiled entrance hall, underfloor heating throughout the ground floor gives a warm welcome when taking off you coats and boots after a day exploring. The open-plan sitting/dining area, has a cosy wood burning stove, ideal for winter evenings and full height bi-folding doors allow you to take in those spectacular views across the rolling countryside. The kitchen is fully fitted and well-equipped for even the keenest chef, with a large central island with stools making this a central hub ideal for entertaining.

Upstairs the master suite has a king-size leather sleigh bed and an en-suite with bath and walk-in shower. Bedroom two offers the flexibility of either twin single beds, or a 6' super-king size bed can be requested if required, along with its own en-suite shower room.

If you can tear yourself away from the peace and tranquillity of this idyllic setting, nearby Shrewsbury, the historic and vibrant county town, boasts a mediaeval castle and Tudor streets full of excellent eateries and shopping. Built on a hill, the River Severn curls around it like a moat. The picturesque surrounding villages of Church Stretton, Much Wenlock and Cardington boast more excellent eating out options.
