Wilstone Cottage in Shropshire is highly praised for its peacefulness, stunning views, and character. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches like fresh eggs and cake. The property's rural charm, ample walking opportunities, and welcoming hosts contribute to its appeal, despite mentions of steep stairs and low beams adding quirkiness.

Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained, which indicates a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is celebrated for its tranquility, beautiful countryside, and proximity to walking routes. The rural setting offers stunning views, contributing to a peaceful experience, although the remoteness may affect accessibility.

Comfort is frequently mentioned, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, especially with the wood-burning stoves. Some guests noted the property was cold initially but warmed up, and the quirky layout with steps may not suit everyone.

Facilities are generally well-received, with guests appreciating the well-equipped kitchen and ample space. Some suggestions for improvement include updating kitchenware and providing clearer instructions for heating, indicating room for minor enhancements.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcoming gifts such as cake and eggs, which guests found delightful. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, may not be a guaranteed offering for all stays.

Everything we hoped for. Quiet, away from it all, lovely village, comfortable. Really good cottage.

The cottage is probably nicer in real life than the photos - very clean and comfortable. The old doors and beams add a lot of character but make sure you pay attention to the 'mind your head' signs - we had a few bumps on the head going up the stairs! We had amazing weather so the immaculate lawn and outside space was brilliant and the views were stunning. We were extremely lucky to see the Northern Lights which made our stay very special and I'm sure the peaceful surrounds and lack of light pollution helped us take full advantage. The surrounding area is so beautiful - it felt a bit like the Cotswolds without paying the prices. Local village pub (The Royal Oak) is a short walk from the house and the staff were really welcoming. Great service and lovely food. The owner of Wilstone Cottage was super helpful and great at communicating including helping with recommending a walk etc. It was lovely to arrive to some flowers and cookies left by the owner as well. A memorable and very comfortable stay.
