Guests say

Willow River Lodge in Shropshire is highly praised for its comfort, stunning location, and cleanliness. Guests consistently mention the peacefulness, wildlife, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The lodge's thoughtful touches, such as a bottle of Prosecco and attention to detail, contribute to a delightful stay. While most experiences are positive, a few guests noted areas needing improvement or maintenance.

The majority of guests describe the lodge as spotlessly clean and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness. However, a couple of reviews mentioned minor issues such as cobwebs and an unpleasant smell, which slightly affect the overall impression.

The lodge's location is frequently celebrated for its tranquillity, beautiful riverside setting, and proximity to wildlife and local pubs. It serves as an excellent base for exploring Shropshire and nearby attractions, contributing to its high rating.

Guests are very satisfied with the comfort provided by the lodge, mentioning the quality of the beds and furnishings. The cosy atmosphere, especially with the log fire, adds to the overall comfort. A few guests noted the beds were a bit small for taller individuals, which is a minor concern.

Reviews indicate that the lodge is well-equipped with a kitchen, hot tub, and log burner, enhancing the guest experience. However, some guests pointed out issues such as slippery decking and maintenance concerns, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and upkeep.

The thoughtful gestures by the owners, including welcome gifts like Prosecco and fresh flowers, are appreciated by guests. It's important to note that while these personal touches are often mentioned, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Advised owner said he did not know about this? Would rectify. Bin in bathroom had not been emptied had sanitry items in. Lodge is lovely and so is the position overlooking river. Needs a little TLC but overall good. We had problem with hot tub as water smelt awful. Owner sorted very quickly next day, very good. Just being honest. We would definitely go again. With four of us though sitting in the evening together, was little uncomfortable on the 2 chairs as only one sofa, maybe get another sofa put in? or L shaped sofa?? just an idea.
