The historic market town of Ludlow is situated on the River Teme, amidst the outstanding countryside of the Welsh Marches. With more than 500 listed buildings, the town provides a fascinating range of architecture including Ludlow Castle which is over 900 years old and is one of the first stone castles to be built in England. Today the castle is open all year round and hosts a wide range of events including outdoor theatre, food, art and literature festivals and many antique and art fairs. Below the castle, Millenium Green offers a large public riverside green and weir and provides excellent indoor and outdoor dining facilities via the Green Cafe located right on the riverside. Ludlow has held street markets since the twelfth century. Nowadays, a traditional open-air market takes place in the town square every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday throughout the year. Everything we needed for a base to visit relatives and explore the area. Biscuits and milk on our arrival, beds and sofas were comfortable. Parking available for 2 cars on driveway. All in all an ideal property for our needs. We will be returning. Thank you!

Ideal location for getting around the castles and gardens in the Ludlow area.Plenty of shops within 5 minutes, minibus passes the house to the centre of town . Was nice to sit on the swing seat in the garden . Comfy beds bathrooms clean and tidy . Thanks for the tea milk and biscuits on arrival.

We had a mixture of eating in and around the town. Did lots of walking and the weather was okay. We had one rest day due to the weather but had a lovely lunch at the French restaurant in town. The house was comfortable and easy to find. We hope to return at some point.
