The Old Coach House in Shrewsbury is highly praised for its beautiful, well-equipped, and clean accommodation. Guests appreciate the peaceful location, the thoughtful touches like fresh eggs and milk, and the property's suitability for both families and pets. The cottage's historic charm and proximity to local attractions make it an ideal spot for a relaxing break.
Reviewers consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'extremely clean' and 'spotlessly clean', indicating a high standard of hygiene and care.
The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and beauty, with easy access to Shrewsbury and nearby attractions. Some guests noted the distance to the nearest pub, but the peaceful setting was generally seen as a positive aspect.
Comfort is frequently commended, with guests finding the cottage cosy and well-appointed. A few minor concerns about ceiling height and a beam in the bedroom were noted, but these did not significantly detract from the overall comfort.
Facilities are described as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful amenities. The mention of an automatic ice maker and constant hot water suggests good maintenance, although there was a single mention of a small shower and steep stairs.
Guests frequently mention the thoughtful extras provided, such as fresh eggs, milk, and fruit. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such personal touches, while common, are not guaranteed with every stay.
A delightful, early 19th century, detached coach house conversion, in a courtyard within the grounds of an old rectory, in the sleepy village of Shrawardine; a wonderful opportunity to enjoy one of our quality Shropshire cottages. Old Coach House has been skilfully developed to a very high standard to create an enticing combination of original character features with modern facilities, to offer welcoming, well-equipped accommodation. The approach to the cottage has lovely views towards the Breidden Hills and Rodney's Pillar, whilst the scenic Severn Way Walk runs beside the cottage. Wonderful walking can be enjoyed in the Shropshire Hills, and National Cycle Network route 81 is just 50 yards from the cottage. Within easy reach are Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Ludlow, the Ironbridge Gorge, Stokesay Castle and Acton Scott Historic Working Farm. A luxury Shrawardine cottage in an ideal location.
Shrawardine is a quiet and secluded village situated in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, ideally located for touring this scenic county. Shrawardine is an easy drive away from the stunning Shropshire hills of the Long Mynd, Stiperstones and Caradoc, with their exceptional walking, biking and horse riding opportunities. Shrawardine is home to the fascinating ruins of a 13th Century Norman castle with impressive views. Just six miles away the medieval city of Shrewsbury, offering a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants, a new theatre, timber-framed black-and-white buildings, riverside walks, an abbey and a castle, is waiting to be explored. Also close to Shrawardine are Church Stretton, Ludlow, the Severn Valley Railway and the Ironbridge Gorge museums.
