About this property

Prepare for a serene stay at this quirky, cosy abode in rural Shropshire, surrounded by farmland with public footpaths right from your front door. It’s ideally located for fresh-air adventures with your partner and pet, with the Shropshire Hills National Landscape and the picturesque Clwydian Range and Powys all within 5 miles. You’ll be 1 mile from a friendly pub and 5 from Shrewsbury, a picturesque market town with timbered Tudor houses and plenty of shops and restaurants.

This stylish pod has a contemporary Scandinavian design, with a thoughtfully designed interior that makes the most of the compact space. It’s got lovely wooden panelling and a gently arched ceiling for a stylish look. Whip up a tasty breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen, which features a folding dining table for tucking into meals together. When you’ve been out exploring all day, it’s a joy to relax on the large, comfy sofa with your favourite show on the Smart TV. The plush double bed, located in the same central space, is kitted out with premium bedding for a peaceful night’s sleep. You’ll also have a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. Outside, the decked area provides a gorgeous spot for soaking up those phenomenal elevated views of rural Shropshire. Unwind under the stars in the wood-fired hot tub or head to the enclosed orchard, decked out with a picnic bench, for al fresco meals.

Locally, history buffs will adore learning about the area’s history at Wroxeter Roman City (9 miles) and iconic Ironbridge Gorge (15 miles), known as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. The nearby village of Hanwood (4 miles) is wonderful for a low-key wander.

As first time glampers we were unsure what to expect but we enjoyed it. The pod is very cosy, comfortable & well equipped & the hot tub is a bonus as we were lucky to have decent weather. The orchard setting is lovely & peaceful & furry friends will enjoy it. However, the drive up to it is rough & was very muddy when we visited. The New Inn serves nice meals & would recommend.
