Upper Barn is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its beautiful location, spaciousness, and modern amenities. Guests enjoyed the peaceful countryside setting, the well-equipped kitchen, and the comfortable bedrooms. The property's suitability for family gatherings and the enclosed garden were also appreciated. Some guests mentioned minor issues with Wi-Fi connectivity and bathroom fixtures, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.
The majority of guests found Upper Barn to be clean and well-presented. A few guests noted areas where cleanliness could be improved, particularly in the kitchen and freezer. However, these comments were not widespread, indicating that the property is generally maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
Guests were charmed by the cottage's lovely rural location in the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales, with its quiet surroundings and proximity to local attractions and amenities. The peaceful countryside and nearby village walks were highlights, contributing to the property's high rating in this category.
Comfort at Upper Barn was generally well-regarded, with guests finding the bedrooms cosy and the living spaces conducive to relaxation. Some guests found the mattresses too soft and the ensuites cramped, which suggests room for improvement. Overall, the property provided a comfortable stay for most.
The property boasts a range of facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and outdoor games. However, guests reported issues with Wi-Fi, wobbly dining furniture, and small bathroom sinks. While these did not overshadow the positive aspects, they indicate that some maintenance and upgrades could enhance the experience.
