Ironbridge Gorge is famous around the world for being the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. The area is no longer industrial, and nature has reclaimed the majority of the previous industrial sites, creating a unique and picturesque wooded valley. The gorge is now a network of trails, bridleways, and rural lanes, and the charming settlement is notable for housing the world's first iron-made bridge, built between 1777 and 1779.

We enjoyed our stay but did have a couple of niggles: The shower wasnât always hot It would have been nice to have some local information (where the nearest shops were and facilities available in Ironbridge) walks etc. we did find a walk for the dog in rough park but found it by accident rather than knowing it was there. However, overall we enjoyed our stay in No.6

I would have liked to turn the heating on at times but did not know how to. Please note that the instructions for finding the numbered parking bay are confusing because Sykes gives directions from Ironbridge but the owner gives advice from the opposite direction! Also, the contact number was reluctant to answer her phone!

The location is beautiful and just a 20 minute walk from Ironbridge with lovely pubs and shops. Other museums were on the doorstep with the local pub a few minutes walk. Outstandingly clean, a well equipped kitchen, TVs in lounge and both bedrooms and shampoo, conditioner and gel in the shower. Bedrooms luxurious and comfy. Initially the parking seemed tricky but you quickly get used to it and itâs just across the road. No criticisms at all but considerations for us would be the stairs- narrow and sheer, downstairs bathroom if youâre a nighttime loo user and space is compact around the furniture. People along this row tend to sit outside in the front gardens since there is no rear facility and it felt very neighbourly. Our adult children are looking to come and see for themselves as they were so impressed with our experience here. We would certainly return as there is so much to see.
