Guests are enamoured with The Bindery, praising its character, comfort, and prime location in Broadway. The apartment's cleanliness, charming quirks, and quiet ambiance contribute to a delightful stay. Its proximity to local amenities and thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack, enhance the experience, making it a sought-after property with guests eager to return.
The apartment is consistently described as spotlessly clean, indicating meticulous upkeep and attention to hygiene.
The Bindery's location is highly praised for being central in Broadway, above an artisan coffee shop and bakery, and perfect for exploring the village and Cotswolds.
Reviewers find the apartment very comfortable and cosy, with a huge lounge space and well-equipped rooms, contributing to a restful and refined stay.
Facilities are regarded as excellent, with high-quality fixtures and fittings. A minor note on the absence of linen bags for bedding and towels slightly impacts the perfect score.
The welcome pack is mentioned as a thoughtful gesture, greatly appreciated by guests. While such gifts are cherished, they are offered at the owner's discretion and may vary.
The Bindery is a newly renovated, beautifully furnished, Grade II listed spacious first floor apartment sleeping up to four guests.
In an extremely sought after location, right in the heart of Broadway, it is just steps from all that the village has to offer, including the historic Lygon Arms Hotel, with a long list of famous visitors and guests including Oliver Cromwell, King Charles I, King Edward VII and his grandson King Edward VIII, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor also spent some time there.
Broadway is known as the Jewel of the Cotswolds owing to the history and architecture of the properties, the wealth of fabulous restaurants and pubs, the variety of gift shops, art galleries and museums. Not to mention the plentiful local walking routes and local attractions such as the Broadway Tower, part of the Cotswold Way, and the steam railway taking you direct from Broadway into the nearby spa town of Cheltenham.
The property itself is also steeped in its own history, in fact The Bindery, as the name suggests, was originally used as a studio by a famous Arts and Crafts bookbinder, Katherine Adams, who was very celebrated in her time. On entering the property from the inner vestibule off the High Street, once you have ascended the short flight of stairs up to the apartment, you will find a bright, light, well equipped kitchen/dining room with views over the High Street to the right of the stairs and a spacious living room bursting with character beams to the left of the stairs through the landing.
The whole property is charming, including the two bedrooms (one super king and one double) and two brand new bathrooms, one being en-suite, which are situated at the back of the property well away from the bustling High Street enabling a peaceful night’s sleep after a busy day.
The surrounding Cotswold villages are all well worth a visit including Stow on the Wold, which offers a unique high street with pubs, gift shops, bakeries and Fosse Gallery, the historic Burford situated on the Windrush River with some fabulous restaurants and shops, along with Bourton on the Water which has the famous Cotswold Motoring Museum and the very impressive Birdland Park and Gardens. The nearby town of Cheltenham has its own points of interest at both Montpellier Gardens and Pittville Park, the Regent Arcade shopping centre and if you time your trip right a visit to the very popular Cheltenham Racecourse could end up on your itinerary. This standout Cotswold escape is waiting for you at The Bindery.
The charming village of Broadway, known as 'The Jewel of the Cotswolds', nestles beneath the Worcestershire hills. This quintessential English village, one of the most beautiful in the Cotswolds, offers a superb range of unique shops and boutiques, galleries and restaurants, but is also steeped in history with its origins dating back to Roman times. The world-renowned Lygon Arms has been popular for centuries, and now spa facilities can be enjoyed at pre-arranged times. Broadway serves as a great base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounds with Shakespeare’s town of Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham Spa and the historic town of Worcester within easy reach. With an abundance of National Trust properties, museums, beautiful walks and cycle trails, this really is a great place for a relaxing holiday, all year round.

Very well presented but being old & charcterful there was not a straight line anywhere, which totally added to the charm. Plenty of room for 4 people, well equipped with a delightful welcome pack. Broadway, a lovely little town & handy for visiting other areas of the Cotswold Thank you to the owner for a delightful stay

Spotlessly clean with brand new kitchen and both bathrooms. We loved the huge lounge space with all the old beams, we really felt we were living in a piece of Broadway's heritage. It's gorgeous. We had a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back!

I have already checked out availability to book again and passed the details to some friends. Truly a wonderful apartment in the perfect location to explore the village. The interiors and attention to detail at The Bindery are genuinely âoff the dialâ. Thank you
