Cringles House is a well-received holiday rental with many guests praising its spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and stunning views. The hot tub is a highlight, comfortably accommodating large groups. The property's location is appreciated for its proximity to the Yorkshire Dales, though some noted traffic noise. Guests often mention the thoughtful welcome treats, enhancing their stay. While most experiences are positive, a few guests have raised issues with cleanliness and maintenance.
Most guests found Cringles House to be clean and well-presented, with some delightful welcome treats. However, a few reviews mentioned areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as under furniture and the effectiveness of the vacuum cleaner. These occasional remarks slightly affect the overall impression of cleanliness.
The property's location is generally praised for its beautiful views and proximity to the Yorkshire Dales. However, a few guests have mentioned the proximity to a busy road as a downside, which has impacted the tranquillity for some.
Guests have commented positively on the comfort of the property, noting the cozy bedrooms and ample space. Some concerns were raised about mattress comfort and the warmth of certain rooms, but these were relatively few compared to the overall positive feedback.
The facilities, especially the hot tub, are frequently highlighted as excellent. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as non-functioning radiators and appliances, which suggests room for improvement in this area.
The owners' thoughtfulness is well-appreciated, with many guests pleasantly surprised by welcome packages. It's important to note that while these gifts are frequently mentioned, they are a kind gesture and not a guaranteed feature of every stay.

In the Domesday Book, Addingham is referred to as "Ediham", or "Home of Edi" - the Earl Edwin of Bolton Abbey. This historic village is located between Ilkley and Skipton and sits snugly in the valley of the River Wharfe, only three miles from the Dales National Park at Bolton Abbey. A corn mill near where High Mills is today was also mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1315, and over from the river is a weir, one of the most ancient medieval constructions in the village. Scenic Bolton Abbey is close by, and visitors shouldn't leave Addingham without taking a picturesque stroll along the river to the "Strid". Today Addingham is vibrant and thriving local community surrounded by stunning countryside and boasts little shops, fine pubs serving wonderful ales and a rather pleasing golf course.

Gorgeous views and extremely pleasant accommodation. Great to have a hot tub for 10 and the little added extras of snacks, drinks and tea and coffee was a lovely touch. We didnât want for anything. This is a great place to stay for both friends and family. Board games as well as pool and football table available. Even torches were provided at the doorway. Wouldnât hesitate to return or recommend to others. An absolute credit to the owners. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful cottage with family friendly layout, in a lovely location. Games room was a huge hit with the kids, as was the hot tub! The communication about the booking prior to our stay was great, Nige and Donna were really helpful. A couple of slight disappointments were the quality of bedding and towels. For such a lovely property, the expectations we had were high; perhaps white cotton sheets and bedding - at least for the adult rooms. But the towels were awful - so thin, small, shedding bits which stuck to skin and dried so much in a drier that they did not absorb water (awful for those with long hair). The owner should really invest in nice, more practical towels. We also had a problem with the dishwasher - it had been blocked up by previous guests and left full of greasy horrible water. On raising this with the cottage team however, they did address very promptly and brought the products we asked for in order to fix it. Overall it was a great stay and we would return - but with our own towels.

Great accommodation for a family weekend, warm in extreme conditions, loved the hot tub in the snow, ample space, great dining area, games room was well used. We do however have some comments, suggestions and one complaint. 1) There is a fridge next to the table which we found to be a freezer. We lost a bottle of champagne and a bottle of wine in the ensuing disaster. This item needs to be clearly marked as a freezer....... 2) There is an oven not working ( lower left) which makes it difficult to cook a roast for 10. 3) Some more large pans and some proper roasting pans would be good. 4) Both front and back doors very tight in frames. 5) Outside light at front is very poor. 6) Having the wood burner was great but kindling and big logs makes it difficult to keep going in a small burner. Either smaller logs or provide an axe to split big ones please? 7) No mirrors in some of the bathrooms. Difficult to shave, install lenses etc. 8) More mugs and glass tumblers would be good. Sorry we broke one wine glass trying to get it in the dish washer.... 9) One or two comments about bed comfort..... Generally we loved the place and may well book again for next year....
