Ash Tree Barn in Halifax is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its location, comfort, and the thoughtful touches provided by the friendly owners. The proximity to local pubs and the scenic Yorkshire Dales, along with the pet-friendly policy, make it a popular choice. While some guests found the open-plan layout less private and noted minor issues, the majority enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, the views, and the local amenities.
Most guests found Ash Tree Barn to be spotless and well-maintained. However, a few guests mentioned that certain areas required additional cleaning, particularly the kitchen and bathroom. These comments were not widespread, suggesting that cleanliness is generally of a high standard.
The location is highly praised for its spectacular scenery and proximity to local pubs and walks. It serves as a great base for exploring West Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales. The presence of a busy road was noted by one guest, but overall, the location is considered ideal.
Guests generally found the barn to be comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and a comfortable bed. Some guests, however, mentioned that the open-plan layout was less suitable for privacy and that the shower could be improved. The comfort of the sofa bed was also noted as a positive aspect.
The facilities at Ash Tree Barn are appreciated, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and good bathroom facilities. However, some guests felt that there was a lack of storage space for clothing and personal items, and one mentioned a low water pressure in the shower.
The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with personal touches like fresh eggs and a bottle of wine being appreciated. While these gifts added to the positive experience, it is important to note that such gestures are at the owners' discretion and may not be a consistent offering.

Beautiful views from the first floor. Good food at the Crossroads Inn a short walk away. Within easy reach of many attractions including the Bronte Parsonage at Haworth and the Rochdale canal at Hebden Bridge. Wish we could have stayed longer.
