Snaptrip says

Cottage in the Sky is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its cleanliness, stunning views, and welcoming atmosphere. The property is noted for its cosy comfort, well-equipped nature, and thoughtful touches, including welcome hampers. While some guests mentioned minor issues with facilities and steep stairs, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many recommending the cottage and expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently mention that the cottage is very clean and tidy, with only one isolated comment about a rusty shower hose. The high level of cleanliness contributes to the overall positive experience.

The location is frequently praised for its beautiful views and good access to local amenities and walks. Some concerns about roadside parking and accessibility are noted, but the location's charm seems to outweigh these.

The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfy bed mentioned. However, one guest struggled with steep stairs, and another found the sofa a bit firm, slightly affecting the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the welcome pack and doggy treats. Some guests, however, reported issues with hot water and outdated visitor information, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.

Many guests were touched by the thoughtful welcome hampers and dog treats, contributing to a warm and personalised experience. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it's important to note that such gestures, though common, are not guaranteed.

About this property

A stone-built, end-terrace cottage situated in the conservation village of Luddenden, just four miles from the ever-popular Yorkshire town of Hebden Bridge. This Luddenden cottage is situated on a steep hill set above another property, a style known locally as an ‘over-dwelling’ unique to the Calder Valley due to its hilly landscape. It is accessed at the front at first floor level and provides a charming holiday cottage for a romantic retreat. This charming Luddenden cottage has one double bedroom with beams and a picture window with magnificent views as well as a spacious bathroom. On the second floor of this lovely holiday cottage in the Dales is a small well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with a cosy, living flame-effect gas fire set in a feature stone fireplace. Outside, there is a small balcony with outstanding views of the local countryside looking out across Calderdale, a great place to sit and relax after a hard day’s walking. The village pub, built in the 17th century, is just a five-minute walk away, renowned for its hospitality, good ale and excellent food, while a ten- minute walk brings you to the hamlet of Midgley and its grocery shop selling local produce. Enjoy inspiring walks from the doorstep across the beautiful moors or explore nearby Hebden Bridge, Haworth, and the bustling town of Skipton, all within an easy drive. Look out for the Ted Hughes Festival taking place in the town of Mytholmroyd, his birthplace, each year, or visit Shibden Hall, an exquisite, six hundred year old timber manor house set within 37 hectares of the Shibden Valley! This cosy Hebden Bridge cottage is the ideal holiday home for a couple to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy this historic corner of the Yorkshire Dales.

Though we found the Cottage in the Sky to be comfortable, I did find the staircase rather steep. The owner was at the cottage when we arrived, and she was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there.
