Guests say

Meadow View is a well-received cottage offering a peaceful stay with beautiful views and country walks. Guests appreciate its cleanliness, quietness, and the welcoming touches upon arrival. The property is ideal for those seeking a rural retreat with proximity to beaches and towns, despite some accessibility issues due to coastal erosion.

The property generally receives positive remarks on cleanliness, with guests noting it was clean upon arrival. However, there are mentions of spiders, a dirty sock found, and some crockery not being clean, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is praised for its peacefulness and proximity to the sea, although beach access is limited due to coastal erosion. The rural setting is appreciated for walks and views, but the lack of amenities within immediate walking distance and the need to drive to nearby towns is noted.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm atmosphere and adequate space. However, some guests mention draughty windows, the need for earplugs, and worn furniture, indicating that comfort could be enhanced.

There is insufficient information to accurately score the facilities and maintenance. While some guests are satisfied with the equipment provided, others mention issues such as a non-functioning shower door, light fitting falling out, and radiators not working. The lack of Wi-Fi and outdated furniture are also mentioned.

Guests mention thoughtful gestures such as fresh farm eggs and bread upon arrival, which contribute to a welcoming experience. It is important to note that while these gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

The dogs were happy and the place was quiet and relaxing. It snowed which was a bonus for us. It was lovely standing in the snow listening to the waves crashing. Very remote area but that was what we wanted, a short drive to local shop and into Withernsea.

We had a lovely time away. Lots of space to chill in the evenings. One suggestion- Could do with more shelves in the oven as there was only the grill pan.

Maybe because the whole site is up for sale standards may have slipped but after reading through the visitors book this seems to be an historical issue. Probably in need of an internal refurbishment to realise it's full potential, which, if this were to happen, I would return again, as it was a very relaxing location.
