Guests say

The Cart House is a charming cottage praised for its comfortable furnishings, peaceful environment, and good layout. It is situated in a pleasant location with scenic views and is well-equipped for a relaxing stay. Some guests mentioned a welcome pack, adding a personal touch.

Reviews indicate a high standard of cleanliness inside the property, with excellent cleaning noted. However, some guests reported issues with outdoor cleanliness and tidiness, affecting the overall score.

The property is appreciated for its nice location with views across a field and proximity to local attractions. The peaceful and quiet setting is consistently highlighted as a positive aspect.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the presence of a ground floor bedroom beneficial. However, some concerns about safety features in the bathroom and the heat upstairs suggest room for improvement.

While the property is well-equipped with a full-size fridge/freezer and good WiFi, guests have noted a lack of maintenance, particularly outdoors, and some deficiencies in the kitchenware and cookware.

A welcome pack was mentioned positively, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed and there is insufficient information to assess overall thoughtfulness consistently, the score is set to null.

The outside area and furniture are very poor and neglected 2. As soon as you enter the property there was an extremely dirty mop and bucket and hoover that was full of dirt. We emptied this and then hoovered the property and soon filled the chamber again, showing that it had not been done properly in the first place. 3. There were cobwebs all over the beams and inside all of the table lamps 4. No frying pan and a very small oven tray 5. Bath towels poor quality

They do not offer 2 night stays and you didn't pass the booking onto the owners. When we arrived the beds hadn't been made and the bathrooms were not clean. I contacted the owner who was very apologetic, but it wasn't their fault. You had taken my money and not passed the details onto them. Luckily, the owner got the place ready in no time and we were able to enjoy our break. Definitely would not trust to use Sykes cottages again.
