A wonderful, semi-detached wing of the owner’s Grade II listed country house, set in its own grounds on the outskirts of the pretty village of Clapham. Located just a hundred yards from the railway station, this charming holiday home provides great access to the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway line. Fully renovated, this holiday hideaway provides perfect accommodation for couples and small families looking to enjoy a truly wonderful rural retreat. Set over two floors with a slightly unusual layout, the property has been meticulously prepared and individually styled, and has the added benefit of a spacious garden boasting lovely views across the surrounding countryside. The spacious, open plan living area has stylish, modern furnishings, a lovely warming woodburning stove, original beams and a delightful window seat. The open plan design is a real delight with a modern, well-equipped kitchen and a cosy dining area. A bathroom and utility area complete the ground floor accommodation. The main staircase leading to the two bedrooms features a panelled wall, which adds to the overall character and charm of this cottage.     Exiting the property (in car) needs care as corner is blind - but no actual problems experienced. Cottage historically most interesting, well equipped and owners very welcoming. Ideally situated for either the Dales or Forest of Bowland. Railway adds further interest. Log fire much appreciated by later evening.

    The welcome pack was great touch with some lovely local things to eat bread , butter, cheese, biscuits and even bottle of wine. Owner was brilliant too weather was patchy despite being August bank holiday week so checked multiple times we were warm enough even putting heating on to help warm us up. The cottage contained so many nice touches and everything we needed and more. Can honestly recommend to anyone.
