Guests say

The Stables in Yorkshire Dales - South receives high praise for its cleanliness, characterful comfort, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the location perfect for walking, and the welcoming atmosphere, including treats for both humans and dogs. While Wi-Fi connectivity is a minor concern, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning to return.

Reviewers consistently mention the exceptional cleanliness of the cottage, describing it as spotless and immaculate. The attention to cleanliness is appreciated by guests, including those with dogs, which suggests a high standard is maintained.

The location is highly regarded for its proximity to walking routes, particularly the Three Peaks, and the picturesque setting. Some guests mention road noise, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests find the cottage to be warm, comfortable, and spacious, with extra sitting areas and cosy touches. The comfortable beds and well-furnished rooms contribute to a relaxing stay.

The facilities, especially the kitchen, are praised for being well-equipped. However, some guests suggest that the Wi-Fi could be improved and that a few additional items like a full-length mirror and clearer instructions for appliances would be beneficial.

The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcome prosecco, flapjacks, and dog treats. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such gifts, though delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed.

The flapjacks were delicious and very welcome after a long journey. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and didn’t want to leave. Thank you

Photos absolutely don’t do this cottage justice - it’s beautiful, so cute and cozy! It’s very well equipped, we have everything we need. The flapjacks, milk and Prosecco were a lovely treat. The flapjacks were perfect for our Three Peaks Challenge. Amazing location for the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Our only issue, which was no fault of the cottage whatsoever, was our neighbour. One of us parked in the parking space for next door, it was an honest mistake, we genuinely didn’t realise. As soon as we pulled up, the man next door came out straight away and was quite rude to us, after having just done a 11.5 hour hike. There was no need for it at all, he could have politely advised we’d parked in the wrong place. We of course apologised and moved the car straight away, but it just caused unnecessary upset. Other than that, we had an amazing stay, and would definitely stay again when we do the challenge again!
