The location is celebrated for its beautiful views, quiet surroundings, and easy access to local walks and attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
While many guests find the cottage spacious and the underfloor heating cosy, there are several mentions of the mattresses being uncomfortably hard, which affects the comfort score.
The property is well-equipped with modern amenities and underfloor heating. However, some guests noted issues with Wi-Fi connectivity and the condition of kitchenware, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
Many guests felt well-cared for, mentioning a warm welcome and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. While such gestures are appreciated, it is noted that these are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was spacious, very clean and well equipped, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The setting is second to none, with wonderful views across the valley. There is plenty of walking and cycling from the doorstep, yet it's only minutes from Settle and under 30 minutes from Kirkby Lonsdale. Gorgeous Arnside is only an hour away for a great day at the seaside. We would love to return and hope to do so before too long.

The property is well equipped and well maintained. The location is perfect, for bobbing into town for provisions or spending a day in The Lakes. There are also some fabulous scenic walks, both from the property or further afield using the car. We would thoroughly recommend this property to everyone. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay in their beautiful barn conversion.

The kitchen set would not get any BBC channel, and the one in the lounge had difficulty keeping a signal which made watching it at best irritating and at worst, impossible. That said, it is only the third property to which we have returned in 40 years. The location and views from the picture windows are outstanding.
