Snaptrip says

Foxholes Lodge is a well-received cottage in Settle, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities and the peaceful setting. The property is described as cosy and well-equipped, with a few noting the quirky layout. The hosts are frequently mentioned for their friendliness and helpfulness.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests find the cottage clean and well-maintained, with only a single report of mould and dampness. The repeated commendations for cleanliness suggest that the issue was an isolated incident.

The location is highly praised for being peaceful and close to both Settle and Giggleswick, with easy access to local walks and amenities. The convenience to public transport is also appreciated.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of a welcoming garden seating area and a comfortable bed. The layout is noted as quirky, with some reservations about the stairs and carrying items between floors.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a fully equipped kitchen and off-road parking. However, some guests mention issues with Wi-Fi coverage and a desire for additional amenities like a washing machine or freezer compartment.

While guests mention receiving a warm welcome with tea, milk, and biscuits, there are not enough references to gifts or extra thoughtful touches to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

About this property

A cosy, semi-detached stone-built Dales cottage, offering stylish upside down accommodation on the edge of the village of Giggleswick, just outside the popular market town of Settle. This lovely cottage provides an ideal romantic retreat within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. On the first floor is a light and airy sitting room with dining table, along with a modern bathroom, whilst on the ground floor you will find a kitchen and a delightful double bedroom with a door leading out to the patio area, perfect for rolling out of bed and enjoying breakfast outdoors. There are many pleasant walks from the doorstep, and the area provides outstanding opportunities for cycling and mountain biking, while access to the Settle-Carlisle Railway is just half a mile away. Both the cottage and the location have been perfect every time. I do a lot of walking/cycling/drinking real ale (though not necessarily in that order!), and this is absolutely ideal for all - outstanding walks in 3 Peaks area, very good cycling in Forest of Bowland & Bronte Country within short train journeys, and various good local pubs. Weather always unpredictable, but that's part of the experience. I'm 73 now - hope I can keep doing this for a few years yet!

Suited me very well. 5G Wifi access was a bit patchy, but slightly better in the downstairs bedroom than in the upstairs lounge.
