Everything we could want was there. It was incredibly well equipped and extremely clean. The welcome pack was fabulous, especially the flapjack. The cottage is in an ideal location for the Forest of Bowland, the Dales and towns. Good pubs with good food and local takeaways all adding to the good holiday experience. Would love to return.

Owner kindly left us flapjacks, bread and butter. Pretty cottage in nice area. Bedrooms good sizes for 6 adults. Plenty of kitchen utensils although fridge small for 6 people. Nice cottage garden with herbs available. Very quiet day and night as itâs quite remote. We found the house to be cold and the heating system poor (electric radiators unable to be turned on). We had to use the wood burner to get warm but it was very smokey. Bathrooms nice and modern but sometimes no hot water as it seemed to be on a timer so we had to plan ahead for showers. We found the Rayburn Everhot impractical for cooking as itâs set to one temperature which was a challenge. Superficial cleaning had been done but grubby under beds etc. Overall a bit disappointing due to the above issues.
