Town Head Farm is a well-regarded cottage in Skipton, praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and prime location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Guests appreciate the proximity to local eateries and the scenic walks right from the doorstep. While some guests mention minor issues, the overall sentiment is positive, with particular commendation for the property's charm and suitability for family gatherings and walking holidays.
The majority of guests found the property clean and comfortable. However, a few reviews mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as the need to wash some kitchen items before use and the presence of cobwebs, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its convenience to local pubs, restaurants, and walking paths, including Malham Cove. The stunning views and easy access to the village centre contribute to a high score.
Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with ample space and a cosy atmosphere. Some concerns about mattress quality and heating issues are noted, but these are not widespread complaints.
The cottage is well-equipped for most guests, though some mentioned missing items like a BBQ and hairdryer, and issues with appliances like the TV and DVD player. Maintenance concerns, such as a crackling plug socket and dampness, are also noted.
Guests often mention the thoughtfulness of the welcome gifts, such as wine and snacks, which adds to the experience. It is important to note that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The village of Malham is an ideal base for visitors to the Dales who come to see one of Britain's most impressive natural features - Malham Cove. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again. An outside light would be helpful at this time of year but we managed fine with torches.

Generally clean, but has some problems with black mould on the silicon sealer in the shower room and bathroom. Cleaning is a quick whip round as there were mass cobwebs in corners. Noticed when plugging in a charger in socket or use of the toilet brush. The shower room suffers from the corroded external down pipe taking grey water from the bathroom and rainwater leaking. The water is penetrating the wall and pooling on the floor at the side of the w.c. Photos available. The shower temperature controller is sized solid and one has to adjust the temperature at the boiler!! The glasses that are used are clean the others were not. The matresses are basic giving the ability to feel the springs when laying on the mattress.

Also very early 9am checkout is a bit extreme.
